Sports Programs

  • The Summit Christian Intramural Sports League is available to boys and girls in grades 6-8.  The program runs January through May and students can compete in seasons for basketball, volleyball and wiffle ball.

School Leadership

The purpose of the 5GLT is to give our fifth-grade students the opportunity to learn more about the qualities and characteristics of a good leader as well as provide opportunities to practice leadership.

The 5GLT will work together throughout the year to develop and execute the following projects (as time allows):

  • A service project
  • Lead a Chapel service
  • Lead a school initiative (ie. bullying awareness or a sustainability campaign)
  • Run a fundraiser
  • Plan an end of the year social event for their class

Student Council

Student Council open to all students in grades 6-8. A Student Council provides an opportunity for students to engage in a structured partnership with teachers, parents, and the school board to promote the interests of the school and the involvement of students in the affairs of the school.  A faculty/staff advisor will work in conjunction with the Student Council.

The Role of the Student Council

  • To enhance communication between students, the administration, faculty/staff, the board, and parents
  • To promote an environment conducive to educational and personal development
  • To promote friendship and respect among students
  • To support and serve the administration, faculty, and staff in the development of the school
  • To represent the views of the students on matters of general concern to them
  • To act as a representative of the student body to the community
